Jakey's and Kallee's first dance recital. They did a short tap dance. Jakey stood there and didn't dance. Kallee followed along pretty well.

We got a "Little People" nativity set and I was explaining the nativity story. I said the baby Jesus was born in a manager and Jakey exclaimed and questioned, "Jesus Christ!"

Aunt Sunny and Uncle Scott gave the kids these wonderful PJ's for their birthday. They like to wear them every night!

Jakey and Kallee turned 3 today! The Colliers, Sauks, and Lewis' came over for an "UP" themed party. We had lots of balloons, cupcakes and a bouncy. We had a great time!

Kallee and Jakey had their first dentist appointment today. No cavities!

Today Kallee was wearing some pants that have "Princess" embroidered on the behind. She was admiring herself in the mirror!

New Underwear

Yesterday Jakey said to me, "Do you want to see my beautiful underwear?" He pulled his pants down and showed me the pink pull-up that his Dad helped him put on.

Kallee loves her shadow. She likes to look at her shadow when she is running or dancing. It is very funny to watch.

Cow Ride

Gram, Ashlie, Kylie, Jalie, Jakey, Kallee, and I went to Bluebell's Corn Maze. We had a fun time playing in kernels of corn, running around a corn maze, going on a cow (tractor) ride, playing on a slide, and playing in the sand.

Pumpkin Patch

It was time to get pajamas on. I said the first kid that can count to 5 doesn't have to get their pajamas on first. Jakey shouted very quickly, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 go to Mom to get your pajamas on Kallee!"

Today Jakey, Kallee, and I were driving to the store. We passed a firetruck. Jakey said, "Kallee did you see that BEAUTIFUL firetruck?"

Kallee filled up her potty chart so Jakey, Kallee, and I went to Target to pick out a prize. Kallee picked a microphone that echoes when talking into it. Kallee talked into the microphone all through Target telling everyone that she goes pooh-pooh and pee-pee on the potty!  She is very proud as am I!

Kallee and I were in the bathroom. Jakey came in and said, "Let's play a game...Let's play hide and seek. I will count." He puts his head to the wall and covers his eyes and begins counting. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6." Jakey looks at Kallee and I, then Kallee says, "Jakey you forgot 9!" So Jakey puts his head back to the wall and shouts, "9." Looks at Kallee and I and shouts, "I found you!"

Kallee is well on her way to being potty trained. She had no accidents today!

Ruff-Ruff is Kallee's favorite toy. She takes her puppy everywhere. It is difficult to find an opportunity to give Ruff-Ruff a bath (put in the washing machine) because he is always at her side. Her favorite thing to do is chew on his ears. This picture was taken by Kallee.

This afternoon Kallee and Mom were on a walk and noticed some birds flying about. Kallee spotted them and said, "I love birds...I want to fly, but I don't have wings!" I love her observations.

Jakey fell asleep in a chair. He is so cute.

Jakey and Kallee were eating ice cream on the deck with their Dad. It was getting dark outside and Jakey said he heard birds singing. His Dad corrected him and told him it was the crickets chirping. Jakey was excited and claimed the crickets were singing the ABC's.

Jakey and Kallee have a neighborhood play group. This week, the kids came to our house for a treasure hunt.

Jakey and Kallee had so much fun camping with their cousins. As shown in the picture, they had fun playing in the dirt.

The kids played dress-up, hiked, built things, played with cousins, and played with dogs while visiting Papa and Gram.

Kallee was having problem going potty so Gram was sitting by her talking her through it. Kallee said, "Gram, you are a good Mommy!"

Kallee was playing in the bathtub at Gram's and she was talking to the fish in the tub. She said, "Don't worry, you won't rust...don't worry, you won't rust!"

Today we took the Kallee, Jakey, and Tate to Papa's and Gram's. Kallee and Jakey spent the week playing and driving Gram, Papa, and Tate crazy while we were in Hawaii.

Today we had a great time at THIS IS THE PLACE Monument. We got to pet animals, ride trains, and ride horses.

Tate came to stay with us for a week. We got to do some fun things like taking the kids on this hike.

We were driving to Mountain Home last night and it was getting dark. Jakey noticed the moon out the window and said, "Mom, Mom, the moon found us!"

Ken, Jakey, and Kallee were at Sam's Club. Kallee told her Dad that they should buy the vacuum they walked by. He did! Kallee was very excited to give it to me. She frequently asks me if I like my new vacuum!

Jakey, Kallee, and I go for walks almost everyday. We like to look at the flowers, identify what color they are, and smell them. We have fun looking at rocks and pine cones. There are many cars and trucks that we look at and identify their color. As we were walking, Jakey touched a pine bush and looked at the needles. He turned to me and said, "This is a tickle bush!"

Kallee and Jakey love each other. When we go places where there are other kids, it is funny to see them usually playing together. When they get separated, you can hear them calling for the other.

We showed Kallee an Jakey the rainbow that appeared today. Kallee told her Dad, "The rainbow is so beautiful, can I jump on it?"

Uncle Jason, Aunt Ashlie, Jalie, and Kylie came to visit and spent the day with the Klinglers. We went to the Aquarium and the Dinosaur Museum.

Jakey got his crib converted to a toddler bed. He was so excited. Kallee's crib was converted about a week before. He wanted his bed like Kallee's and would ask us to "fix" his bed.

Aunt Sunny gave Jakey and Kallee slippers for Christmas. Jakey and Kallee like to wear them to bed. About a month or so ago they came up missing, all four slippers. I looked everywhere. Finally I bought them some new slippers.

Today, Kallee pulled a cover off one of the heating vents and pulled out all four slippers.

Kallee can get out of her crib! She is a smart little girl. When I asked her how she didn't she showed me!  She doesn't fall, she carefully climbs up and over.

I have been teaching Jakey and Kallee who is a girl and who is a boy. I was quizzing Kallee and this is what she said. "Kallee is a girl, Jakey is a boy, Mamma is Mamma, Dadda is Dadda, Aunt Sunny is a girl, and Uncle Scott is a princess!"

Aunt Sunny, Jakey, Kallee, and I went to IKEA. Jakey saw a man with a red shirt and a long beard. His eyes got big and he shouted, "Santa Claus!"

We are driving down the road and stop at a stop light. Kallee says, "Mom there is a W.” I started to look around and sure enough we were by Wenerschnitzel.

Both Jakey and Kallee are learning so much. It is great to see them learn and grow. I am a very lucky Mom to get to be home with them!

Kallee loves to color!

This last weekend, Jakey and Kallee stayed with the Womacks while I went to Vegas with some friends. Jakey and Kallee got to go to Aunt Tracy's school and to the police station (Uncle Jerry's work). They had a great time playing with the Womacks and I had a nice little vacation thanks to my friend Michelle.

Jakey, Kallee and I were watching President Obama’s inauguration on TV and I was explaining to the kids that we are getting a new president. They thought I was saying “present” and they were very excited, then someone knocked on our door and they shouted, “Santa Claus!”

Jakey and Kallee have their own language. As they were talking today, in their own language, I did pick up Kallee saying to Jakey, "I love you Jakey...but I love you!" It was very cute!

The baby monitor was left on. Ken and Jakey were downstairs and through the monitor, they could hear Kallee and I upstairs. Jakey said to Ken, "Mommy, Kallee, music!"

Kallee got her first black eye from falling down.

On January 2, 2009, Ken and I enjoyed the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans watching the UTES thump Alabama. It was wonderful! We cheered our hearts out and our voices were gone.
